Fred Diaz is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA), as well as Chairman of the Board. In this role, Diaz is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations in the United States, including sales and marketing, parts and service, logistics, public relations, customer support, finance, legal, information technology, human resources and regional operations.
Diaz brings 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and a wealth of knowledge of the U.S. market. Prior to this appointment, Diaz served as General Manager in charge of performance optimization for the global marketing and sales division of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Japan.
Before his tenure with Mitsubishi Motors, Diaz held the position of Division Vice President and General Manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles for Nissan North America (NNA), and was responsible for trucks and light commercial vehicles across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Previously, Diaz was Senior Vice President, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S. During his time leading the Nissan Division in the U.S., Diaz helped strengthen the division’s focus on trucks and commercial vehicles and provided important guidance for the launch of the all-new TITAN XD full-size pick-up truck.
Prior to that, Diaz was President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand and Head of National Sales, as well as President and CEO of Chrysler de Mexico and Latin America.
Diaz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management with an emphasis in psychology from Texas Lutheran University and an MBA from Central Michigan University. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and exercising.
